Niger produces sugar cane but does not have a sugar manufacturing plant. To meet strong national demand, the Niger State massively imports sugar from neighbouring countries. Therefore, this project is part of the Niger policy for agricultural product improvement through sugar cane refining, to meet national and international demands and produce energy from waste.
